Tetlaw Contracting Co was formed in the mid-Eighties by Mike Tetlaw and brought road planing to the South West region of England. The company built an excellent reputation for service and innovation especially in Devon and Cornwall where it was founded.

Jet Plant Hire purchased the company in 2004 and built on the well established name and reputation of Tetlaw. The two companies complement each other well and the two companies together provide a formidable combination of having the resources of a large company with the service levels of a family business to give the customer the best of both worlds.

Tetlaw is based in Newton Abbott and offers the full range of Wirtgen equipment from W2100 down to W350 planers with all the other equipment that goes with it. They operate on a 24/7 basis in conjunction with Jet Plant Hire. The fleet includes:

Planers:

• 2 x 350mm
• 5 x 500mm
• 7 x 1000mm wheeled
• 4 x 1000mm tracked
• 3 x 2000mm

Tippers:

• 3 x 4 wheel tippers with a roll on/roll off skip
• 8 x 6 wheel tippers
• 12 x 8 wheel tippers

Sweepers:

• 5 x Johnston VT650 sweepers

Hired together these provide the complete planer, tipper, sweeper combination, or they can be hired out individually for normal day or contract work.

With continuous investment in the latest technology, all the machines are reliable and versatile and our highly experienced operators get the very best from the equipment. We offer a national service.

We take our health and safety responsibilities very seriously and all of our operators have full EPIC competency, CSCS and Site Awareness certification.
